Technology development is always an investment. You either have a great idea to build or you need to improve an existing product to win more business and secure market share. Technology development can be costly and you need all the help you can get. Developers and entrepreneurs will want to leverage free and inexpensive money in order to get their goals achieved.

The Government of Canada and the provinces want to help grow the economy. They want to help technology companies with the development of innovative technology that will help grow the economy. They want to help you succeed. There is some work required to get this free money but it is well worth the effort to get some help getting to market in a timely manner.

Since the recession of 2008 many companies have had to down size and cut costs in order to survive.  The technology that has done well in the last couple of years has either enabled customers to make money or improving processes in order to cut costs in a big way.  This trend will continue into the future as the economy recovers.  The following are the technology sectors I am watching for growth in the coming year.


PinterEC becomes a qualified vendor for the BC government.

Pinter Electronics Consultants Inc. (PinterEC) became a qualified project management firm for the British Columbian Government earlier this week.  Negotiations started back in September of 2010 and only this week an agreement was reached to provide quality project management services to the BC government.  This qualification allows PinterEC to assist any department in the BC government who needs professional services related to managing Information Technology (IT) and Information Management (IM) projects.
